Ghost in the Shell Exhibition: A Celebratory Spectacle

Ghost in the Shell Exhibition, organized by the production committee consisting of Kodansha, Mori Building, KDDI, Production IG, Parco, and Bandai Namco Filmworks, is set to take place from
January 30 to April 5, 2026, within the stunning
TOKYO NODE GALLERY located on the 45th floor of
Toranomon Hills Station Tower. This event marks the
30th anniversary of the beloved anime, expanding beyond mere appreciation of its world into a dynamic program of dialogue, music, and visual arts.
A Unique Celebration
This exhibition is unprecedented in its scale—featuring over
30 special events with more than
90 artists and creators joining together. The event aims to deepen the connection between the audience and the
Ghost in the Shell universe through various innovative formats.
The exhibition will prominently showcase the
Talk Series: “DIALOGUE of Ghost and the Shell”, where notable cultural figures such as director
Kenji Kamiyama and
Hiroshi Miyata engage in discussions about the themes and technological reflections found within the series. Around
20 sessions are planned, each exploring different aspects like artificial intelligence, music, fashion, and narrative.
Weekend Night Museum
In addition, the
Weekend Night Museum: “REFLEX of Ghost and the Shell” will offer a unique
Audio Visual experience. This four-part series will highlight the convergence of visual art, music, and technology, inviting audiences to immerse themselves in the holographic future depicted in the anime. Noteworthy performances include those by famous artists such as
Licaxxx,
Mars89,
YOSHIROTTEN, and others, each providing their individual artistic lens on the Ghost in the Shell narrative.
Exclusive Music Bar Experience
A special four-day event is also set to occur— recreating
MUSIC BAR “FIRN”, an establishment evoking the atmosphere of
Niihama City featured in the
S.A.C. series. This pop-up bar, operational from
February 11 to 14, will feature live performances from various musicians while providing a unique setting where guests can engage with the art both visually and auditorily.
