Oisix Joins Special Campaign to Revitalize Sanriku-Tokawa Seafood Post-Tsunami

Oisix Joins the 'Go-Hiki! Sanriku-Tokawa Campaign'

In a notable first, Oisix, the popular food subscription service, is participating in the 'Go-Hiki! Sanriku-Tokawa Campaign' initiated by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. This campaign aims to promote the rich seafood offerings of the Sanriku-Tokawa area, marking the 15th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake.

Starting from March 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM, Oisix will introduce six new products featuring seafood sourced from this vibrant region. These products include 'Easy Stir-Fry! Miyagi Prefecture True Squid Marinated in Mirin' and 'Tender and Soft! Dried Mehikuri from Fukushima Prefecture,' showcasing the unique flavors that Sanriku is renowned for.

The 'Go-Hiki! Sanriku-Tokawa Campaign' has been running since 2022, focusing on expanding awareness and consumption of the Sanriku-Tokawa area's bountiful seafood. The campaign coincides with the 'Sanriku-Tokawa Food Fair 2026' and includes participation from convenience stores and restaurant chains, with Oisix being the first e-commerce food vendor to join in.

Since the 2011 earthquake, Oisix has been dedicated to supporting the Tohoku region by promoting local ingredients and engaging in various recovery efforts. This year's campaign emphasizes the importance of food as a means of supporting affected areas, featuring user-friendly options like the stir-fry squid dish that requires no extensive preparation—just thaw and cook.

Customers can expect a diverse lineup of easy-to-prepare seafood products that will bring the flavors of the Sanriku-Tokawa area straight to their homes. Some highlights include canned seafood options, ready-to-eat seafood bowls, and versatile ingredients perfect for weeknight cooking. With so much care and passion from the producers packed into these products, Oisix encourages consumers to find their own
