The Hirooka Terrace, recently completed in Kanazawa, Japan, is designed to be a pioneering hub for innovation, collaboration, and community engagement. Announced by CCI Group, the parent company of Hokoku Bank, and the architectural firm Mitsubishi Jisho Sekkei, this facility opened on September 8, 2025, after its construction was completed in late July.
Located adjacent to the Hokoku Bank's headquarters, which was completed in 2014, Hirooka Terrace aims to foster a new level of interaction between local enterprises, educational institutions, and government agencies. This initiative is part of CCI Group's goal to create visionary regions that connect local efforts to global frameworks.
A Prototype for Future Community Spaces
Hirooka Terrace reflects the evolving role of office spaces as venues for collaboration and interaction. The building's first floor features an entrance hall that opens directly to the street, allowing seamless interaction with the community. The third floor boasts terraces that connect multiple levels through stairways, bringing movement and visibility to the busy street adjacent to the building.
Hirooka Terrace challenges the typical office building layout by providing ample communal areas both inside and outside, allowing for improved collaboration among tenants. Unlike traditional office structures where corridors limit interactions, this design utilizes half-outdoor terraces that merge with the external environment, creating lively and dynamic ecosystems.
Connecting with Hokoku Bank Headquarters
