The Whiskey Culture Institute, based in Shibuya, Tokyo, is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of three exciting posters: the
Japanese Whiskey Distillery Poster 2026, the
Scotch Whiskey Distillery Poster 2026, and the
Irish Whiskey Distillery Poster 2026. These posters will be featured in a pre-sale event at the
Whiskey Festival 2025 in Tokyo on December 6-7. After the festival, they will also be available through the Whiskey Culture Institute's online shop starting December 10, and pre-orders are currently being accepted.

About the Whiskey Culture Institute
Established in March 2001 by whiskey critic
Mamoru Tsuchiya, the Whiskey Culture Institute is dedicated to promoting whiskey culture. It conducts extensive research on both domestic and international whiskey and drinks, gathering and disseminating valuable information. The institute collaborates with industry experts to nurture whiskey lovers and uphold whiskey culture initiatives.
Some of its activities include editing and publishing Japan's only whiskey magazine,
Whisky Galore, and organizing events like the Whiskey Festival. Moreover, it hosts the
Whiskey Connoisseur Qualification Examination and the
Whiskey Certification Test, which assess knowledge and appreciation of whiskey.
Additionally, the institute operates the
Tokyo Whiskey & Spirits Competition (TWSC), Japan's sole competition that evaluates world whiskies and spirits since 2019.

Profile of Mamoru Tsuchiya
Born in Sado, Niigata in 1954, Mamoru Tsuchiya graduated from Gakushuin University. After working as a magazine journalist, he moved to the UK in 1987, where he discovered single malt Scotch whiskey in Scotland. Since returning to Japan, he has gained recognition as a whiskey critic and educator, being named one of the 'World’s Top 5 Whiskey Writers' by Highland Distillers in 1998.
