As we move into 2023, GEDA is actively working on proposals regarding government-discussed generic pharmaceuticals strategies, focusing on maintaining and nurturing the generic drug industry. This year's discussions will center on the systematization of pharmaceutical information, specifically addressing the challenges posed by the withdrawal of branded drugs from the market, ensuring that vital information is rigorously managed.

This issue has been a topic of ongoing discussion, especially as the trend of selecting therapies progresses with many expected withdrawals of established branded medicines. The government's Public-Private Council Working Group for Improving Drug Discovery Power has also raised concerns about information provision after the withdrawal of branded drugs, which GEDA deems essential to address.

What is Generic Pharmaceuticals Day?
