Seven-Eleven Japan Partners with Seika Town

On April 10, 2023, Seven-Eleven Japan Co., headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, formalized a partnership agreement with Seika Town located in Sagara District, Kyoto Prefecture. This agreement aims to bolster local community development through a comprehensive collaboration on various initiatives to promote the charm of Seika Town. The initiative is particularly focused on establishing the brand identity of "Gakken City Seika Town" and fostering subculture through promotional activities led by the local mascot, 京町セイカ (Kyomachi Seika).

Objectives of the Agreement

This partnership will focus on four main areas of collaboration:
1. Promotional activities utilizing the Seika Town mascot, 京町セイカ.
2. Enhancement of subculture to increase community interactions.
3. Strengthening the brand identity of "Gakken City Seika".
4. Any other mutually beneficial activities identified during collaboration.

A Brief Introduction to 京町セイカ

The character 京町セイカ was introduced on July 5, 2013, primarily to communicate a variety of administrative information to the residents more effectively and enticingly. • - Strengthening community collaboration and resilient governance.

The two parties plan to embark on initiatives that include joint promotion of 京町セイカ through events like the "Nanaco Connect" and participation in the upcoming "Niconico Chokaigi".

Nanaco Connect Initiative

"Nanaco Connect" is an innovative service from Seven-Eleven that allows users to donate points earned through the Apple Pay nanaco system to specific causes or preferences, starting from just one point. This partnership will leverage 京町セイカ as part of the city promotion campaign, starting April 20, 2023.

More information can be found on the Nanaco Connect website.
