LG Electronics Unveils 'Life's Good 2026' Campaign to Alleviate Mental Burden
LG Electronics has officially launched its latest initiative, the 'Life's Good 2026' campaign, with a compelling message: "Free Up Your Mind." This global campaign aims to address the mounting mental burdens faced by individuals in today’s fast-paced world and demonstrates how LG's innovative AI technology can provide much-needed support.
Understanding the Mental Load
According to recent surveys conducted by LG, people are spending nearly a quarter of their year overwhelmed by mental stress—equivalent to about 87 days annually. The survey reveals that while many strive to maintain organization in their daily lives, they often miss the freedom to be spontaneous and genuinely enjoy life. The campaign sheds light on the invisible mental load, which consists of persistent information overload, countless micro-decisions, and daily chores. For many individuals, this stress seeps into their personal time, clouding their minds even during moments meant for relaxation and enjoyment.
Kim Hyo-eun, Director of LG's Brand Management Division, emphasized the importance of technology seamlessly integrating into our lives to help reclaim time and attention that enhances our quality of life. She noted, "In its fourth year, the 'Life's Good' campaign continues to showcase how innovation can make life enjoyable and fulfills our brand promise."
Emphasis on Well-Being
Past campaigns, such as "You Make Life Good" (2024) and “Less Artificial. More Human.” (2025), have paved the way for this year's focus on the increasing mental load brought on by modern living. By showcasing how LG's AI can help alleviate routine tasks, the brand aims to create more mental space for the things that matter most.
The central promotional video captures a family temporarily disengaging from the relentless demands of modern life for just one evening. It highlights meaningful yet often overlooked moments—spontaneous conversations, shared meals, and the joy of being fully present with loved ones. LG invites viewers to reflect on how much time they could reclaim if they could disconnect from their worries, even for a little while.
A Multifaceted Approach
The campaign employs various videos featuring LG products such as the WashTower, Styler, OLED, and DUALCOOL to demonstrate how they contribute to easing daily mental fatigue. These devices take care of ordinary tasks, allowing individuals to direct their focus toward essential life moments rather than household chores.
To engage users further, LG has introduced an interactive experience to help individuals assess their mental load. Participants can respond to a series of questions that reveal how much mental strain they bear and which factors contribute most to their daily burdens. By bringing this invisible struggle to light, LG hopes to assist people in liberating their minds and enjoying life to the fullest.
Insight Into Modern Struggles
The survey also uncovered some stark realities regarding mental load. On average, respondents experience 27 interruptions in their mental state during waking hours. Dr. Judith Joseph, a certified psychiatrist, pointed out that the ongoing burden of unpaid household tasks often triggers silent emotional burnout—a pressing concern in today’s society. She noted, "LG's initiative to lower mental load addresses the core of this modern crisis. True well-being in the AI era means relieving these invisible burdens using smart technology, freeing up the mental capital required to rediscover joy and spontaneity in human connections."
Over half (51%) of the respondents indicated that their mental load interferes with their sleep, and nearly half (49%) acknowledged its detrimental impact on their physical health. The findings reveal a crucial aspect of the human condition—the struggle to remain organized often comes at the expense of spontaneity. When asked about their priorities if freed from such burdens, individuals reported desires to immerse themselves in a book, spend impromptu time with family and friends, or simply experience moments unencumbered by daily responsibilities.
The Role of Technology
The survey further indicated that unpaid domestic responsibilities contribute substantially to mental loads, surpassing those associated with paid work. This emphasizes the potent potential of home technology to create significant differences in this area. Alarmingly, approximately 73% of respondents believe that suitable home technologies could lighten their mental burdens, with a growing demand for solutions that proactively manage routine tasks without constant supervision.
The findings suggest a clear direction for technology: not just to help individuals do more, but to discreetly handle everyday responsibilities—freeing individuals to focus less on managing their lives and more on enjoying them. This aligns perfectly with LG's vision of Affectiva Intelligence and the campaign motto, "Life's Good. Free Up Your Mind."
