Innovative Education Project in Toda City
On October 24, 2023, Toda City in Saitama Prefecture, led by Mayor Fumihito Sugawara, announced an exciting new initiative in partnership with Trust Bank, known for operating Japan's largest hometown tax site, Furusato Choice. The project, dubbed the Government Crowdfunding® (GCF®), is designed to gather donations aimed at enhancing the educational landscape for children and schools. The fundraising period for this project will last from October 24, 2025, to January 21, 2026, with a goal of raising 1 million yen.
