Midea Unveils a Comprehensive Range of Sustainable HVAC Solutions at CR 2025 in Madrid

Midea Introduces Innovative HVAC Solutions at CR 2025

From November 18 to 20, 2025, Midea Air Conditioning took the stage at the CR 2025 trade show in Madrid, Spain, where it unveiled an impressive portfolio of sustainable heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) innovations. This exhibition, regarded as a premier event for HVAC professionals, saw Midea present several cutting-edge systems that highlight the company’s commitment to energy efficiency and environmentally friendly practices.

Among the standout products showcased was the Midea R290 series, which exemplifies the company's philosophy of "GREEN VISION BLUE FUTURE." Recognized as the first company to commercialize R290 refrigerants in air conditioning systems, Midea's journey began with a pilot production line funded by the United Nations in 2010. Today, it operates 12 advanced production lines capable of producing 6.4 million units annually. The R290 solutions are pivotal in reducing carbon emissions, making a significant impact on international standards for eco-friendly refrigerants.

Midea's extensive research and development efforts, backed by over 10,000 engineers and 42 pilot laboratories, have led to the creation of a comprehensive range of R290 products suitable for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. The company aims to make green technology scalable and accessible, showcasing its dedication to sustainability.

Another highlight of the event was the ECOMASTER system, which employs artificial intelligence to optimize the performance of Midea's appliances, particularly air conditioners, to minimize energy consumption. This intelligent system continually monitors indoor conditions and external weather factors, making real-time adjustments with a tolerance of ±0.3°C. As a result, it provides consistent comfort while achieving energy savings exceeding 30%. Integrated into models such as Solstice and Solunar, this technology sets new benchmarks for efficiency, with Solstice achieving A+++ for cooling and A++ for heating, and Solunar offering A++ and A+ ratings respectively.

Midea also introduced its PortaSplit portable air conditioner, designed for high performance and installation flexibility. This unit boasts a SEER rating of 6.1 and an SCOP rating of 4.0, suitable for a wide range of European window types, including French balconies and attic windows. Its adaptable design caters to various housing styles, from modern apartments to historic buildings. The product's market entrance has been met with strong demand, attributed to its easy three-step installation process that requires no tools.

Additionally, Midea presented the H-Pack, a compact heating solution recognized in this year's innovation gallery for its low global warming potential refrigerants, digital controls, and principles of circular economy. Developed by Midea's European R&D team, H-Pack uses eco-friendly R290 refrigerants and eliminates the need for an external unit. Its modular design is compatible with gas boiler systems, facilitating easier installation and maintenance, while also providing a cost-effective approach to modern heating needs. Live demonstrations by German experts showcased its user-friendly architecture and practical benefits.

Beyond product innovations, Midea fostered professional engagement through interactive seminars throughout the event, facilitating technical exchanges and collaboration within the industry. Midea expanded its presence beyond the exhibition hall with promotional campaigns, including dual sponsorships with Manchester City and Sevilla, emphasizing the company's commitment to community involvement and high-quality standards.

Midea remains dedicated to its mission of promoting smart transformation in both residential and industrial environments. With a focus on sustainability and innovation, the company envisions a future shaped by the collaboration between humans and machines. By integrating KUKA industrial robotics and MIRA home automation technologies, Midea aims to redefine efficiency and enhance the human experience, empowering individuals to pursue creativity and progress.
