LGBT-Ally Project 2025 Event Successfully Held in Shibuya

LGBT-Ally Project 2025 Event Overview

On June 8, 2025, the LGBT-Ally Project 2025 took place in Shibuya, coinciding with the Tokyo Pride Parade. Organized by Out Japan Inc under the leadership of CEO Kazuaki Yanase, the event included a variety of activities designed to promote LGBTQ+ awareness and collaboration among participating companies.

Activities and Exhibitions

The event featured panel displays from companies involved in the LGBT-Ally Project 2025, showcasing their commitment to LGBTQ+ initiatives. In addition to the panels, the project also distributed ally goods, aimed at fostering inclusivity in the workplace.

One notable aspect of this year's event was the simultaneous execution of the “We Want to Be Good Couples Too Exhibition,” which was organized in collaboration with Colorful Blankets, a nonprofit organization. This exhibition encouraged participants to explore themes of love and acceptance, showcasing stories from the LGBTQ+ community.

Seminars and Educational Sessions

Throughout the day, attendees participated in a series of short seminars. Topics included the history of pride parades and the significance of Pride Month, providing valuable insights into the progression of LGBTQ+ rights. These educational sessions offered an engaging way for individuals and companies to deepen their understanding of the issues at hand and better their support for the community.

Support for the Parade

Participants actively supported the Tokyo Pride Parade, cheering for fellow participants along the route. This vibrant display of solidarity underscored the importance of unity within the LGBTQ+ community, living out the values of the LGBT-Ally Project.

Networking Opportunities

After the parade, a networking event allowed representatives from ally companies to connect and share experiences beyond the confines of their respective organizations. This shift of the event venue from Yoyogi Park to Shibuya CAST enabled greater interaction among companies involved in the project, enriching the collaborative atmosphere.
