Tamiya Home, based in Tokorozawa, Saitama Prefecture, is committed to strengthening its athlete recruitment program. As part of this initiative, the company has welcomed Hiyori Terasawa, a freestyle ski half-pipe athlete, to its ranks, effective August 1, 2025. This strategic move aims to support diverse athletes in their quest for success.

In May of this year, Tamiya Home also employed Kenta Nakazato, a martial artist aiming to compete in RIZIN, in its construction department. By nurturing athletes beyond their competitive years, the company believes it can leverage their drive and determination to foster business growth and innovation.

At Tamiya Home, about 90% of employees have athletic backgrounds, cultivating a distinctive corporate culture where the 'sportsmanship' mindset thrives. To facilitate this transition, Tamiya Home has established a supportive system where employees can earn age-appropriate salaries based on their individual performance. If the initially assigned role does not align with an employee's skills or interests, the company offers flexibility to adjust responsibilities accordingly. Welcoming Hiyori Terasawa

As of August 1, 2025, Tamiya Home proudly integrates Hiyori Terasawa into its workforce. Hiyori, who hails from Itabashi, Tokyo, is a prominent figure in the ski half-pipe realm, having secured second place in both the All-Japan Championships in 2021 and the Asia Cup in 2025.

Within Tamiya Home, she will work in the construction department, dedicating her off-season months (April to November) to support administrative tasks essential for smooth project execution. During the competitive season, from late November to March, Tamiya Home is committed to fully supporting her athletic pursuits, expressing a desire for her to excel in domestic and international competitions leading up to the Olympics.

Kenta Nakazato's Journey

Tamiya Home is also nurturing the career of Kenta Nakazato, who joined the construction division in May 2025 with aspirations to compete in RIZIN. A graduate of a technical high school, Kenta initially aimed for a police career but shifted paths, discovering martial arts during his stint working in a sushi restaurant.

Kenta is balancing his role in Tamiya Home with rigorous training to compete at the highest levels. He has already demonstrated exceptional performance, receiving a monthly MVP award shortly after joining and committing to embodying the Tamiya value of 'sportsmanship'.
