P-144 and Citraba Collaborate to Revitalize Community Hub in Ikebukuro

P-144 and Citraba Join Forces to Create a Thriving Community Hub

On August 8, 2025, P-144, a community-centered hub managed by Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, will unveil a revitalized dining floor featuring the popular restaurant Citraba from Koenji. This collaboration aims to enhance the local community experience and provide exciting food options that reflect the values of both entities.

Background of P-144

Since its opening in March 2023, P-144 has positioned itself as a space that connects people and communities through various themes such as food, art, entertainment, and social issues. Over the past two years, it has successfully hosted around 100 events, fostering a sense of community and providing a platform for interaction among local players, schools, organizations, and businesses. By leveraging its established relationships within the region, P-144 has become a cornerstone of the Ikebukuro community.

New Partnership with Citraba

The new partnership with Citraba aims to create a dining space that values connections between people, with an emphasis on local roots and community engagement. Citraba's diverse food offerings, including their renowned rotating craft beers, unique lemon sours made from domestic ingredients, and signature dishes like Citraba Chicken, will now be available at P-144. One of the standout items will be the `Thick Fresh Pasta and Small Italian Plates`, which caters to a wide range of tastes and occasions.

Interior Redesign

In conjunction with the menu revamp, the dining area will also see a fresh interior design curated by local space designer Koichi Kamiyama. His vision focuses on creating inviting spaces with an accessible facade, enhancing the overall atmosphere to foster relaxation and community engagement. With experience in various community projects and restaurant renovations, Kamiyama aims to create a space that encourages people to walk in and feel right at home.

Launch Event Features Special Brew

To celebrate the opening, a unique brewing experience will be launched, featuring a limited-edition beer made with sweet navel oranges from Yagyo Farm in Odawara. The team at Citraba, alongside employees from Sunshine City, participated in the brewing process, ensuring the product captures the essence of the local area. This special beer exemplifies the collaborative spirit and craft that P-144 and Citraba stand for.

Commitment to the Community

Citraba's founder, Atsushi Waki, shares that the mission resonates with him strongly. He believes in creating welcoming places through food that fosters smiles and connection within the community. Alongside Koichi Kamiyama, who emphasizes the importance of community and local engagement, their partnership aims to elevate the vibrancy of Ikebukuro, promoting it as a hot spot for interaction, networking, and enjoyment.

The official opening hours for P-144 x Citraba are from 11:30 AM to 11:30 PM, with the restaurant closed on Mondays. Visitors are encouraged to explore the inviting atmosphere and delicious menu that celebrates the beauty of community connections.

Future Endeavors

Looking ahead, P-144 will continue to utilize its networks and partnerships to deepen community outreach and facilitate new collaborative projects. With ongoing activities and collaborations with local artists, organizations, and community efforts, P-144 is poised to be a dynamic and evolving hub that reflects the spirit and culture of Ikebukuro.
