SANY Shines at Bauma 2025 with Sustainable Innovations and Digital Intelligence
SANY Impresses at Bauma 2025 with Innovations
On April 23, 2025, the 34th edition of Bauma, the world's largest construction machinery fair, successfully concluded in Munich, Germany. With the theme "The World of Efficiency, Your Partner to Create the Best," SANY Group presented an impressive display of innovation and technology, in collaboration with Putzmeister. Their expansive booth, covering 5,256 square meters, drew significant attention, attracting over 200 potential clients on opening day, which resulted in nearly 3 billion yuan (approximately 360.3 million euros) worth of orders.
This year, SANY unveiled a total of 35 flagship products, including excavators, telehandlers, wheel loaders, cranes, forklifts, and road machinery. Notably, out of these new models, 31 are CE certified, 15 are being launched globally, and 11 are electric, reflecting SANY's commitment to sustainability and innovation.
Highlighted Products at the Fair
One of the standout launches was the SCC2000A-EV - SANY's largest fully electric crawler crane, featuring a high-capacity CATL battery of 422 kWh, providing a nine-hour operation time. Equipped with a powerful 234 kW Danfoss engine, this crane is capable of lifting 200 tonnes, with an 86-meter main boom and a total of 63 meters in boom height, marking a significant feat in crane technology.
Another significant introduction was the STR50E, the industry’s first fully electric five-ton compactor. With a 60 kWh battery, it offers over seven hours of continuous operation, and a rapid recharge time of just 60 minutes using shared EV charging stations. Thanks to CATL's advanced battery system with liquid cooling, the STR50E is designed to operate reliably under extreme temperatures, ensuring longevity with over 2,000 hours of testing and 30 years of potential lifespan through more than 2,000 charge cycles.
The SY215E electric excavator showcased another level of efficiency, operating for six to eight hours on a 422 kWh CATL battery. It features a high-powered 150 kW motor and dual CCS2 charging that allows for a complete recharge in just 1.5 hours. This excavator is also enhanced with 360-degree AI cameras for improved safety and operational efficiency.
SANY also introduced the STH625E, a compact electric telehandler engineered for tight spaces prevalent in the European market. Measuring 1.85 meters wide and 1.92 meters high, the telehandler is powered by a 34 kWh battery that allows for eight hours of operation at a speed of 20 km/h.
Focus on Digital Intelligence
In addition to its lineup of advanced machinery, SANY emphasized the integration of digital intelligence. The MySANY platform and the intelligent excavation system, Mechlink, generated significant interest among attendees. Developed by Yaowu Technology along with SANY's Heavy Machinery Research Institute, the Mechlink system is tailored for tough and hazardous conditions. By utilizing ultra-low latency 5G technology, it enables smart one-click excavation at L2 level, ensuring enhanced safety and productivity.
A highlight of the exhibition was a live demonstration showcasing the remote operation of an excavator from Munich to Huzhou, China. This remarkable feat, spanning over 8,500 kilometers, attracted over 200 participants and was met with enthusiasm.
SANY's journey in Europe commenced in 2009 with its entry into Bedburg, Germany. The company has since established a robust ecosystem across Europe, encompassing R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and after-sales service. With 150 dealers, 120 commercial experts, 70 service vehicles, and a spare parts inventory valued at 20 million euros, SANY continues to exceed customer expectations while meeting market demands for clean and sustainable products.
Conclusion
The major showcase of innovative products and digital solutions at Bauma 2025 firmly established SANY as a leader in the construction machinery industry. By emphasizing sustainability and smart technology, SANY is well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of global markets. Their commitment to efficiency and green solutions is a testament to their dedication to pushing the boundaries in construction technology.
