Vention Announces Return of International Invention Day 2026
Vention, known for its prowess in software engineering and AI, has announced the highly anticipated return of
International Invention Day on
May 16, 2026. This event celebrates not just creativity, but also the courageous thinkers and builders that are shaping the technological landscape. Alongside this celebration, Vention has revamped its innovative contest, rebranding it as the
InVention Incubator and Transformation Lab.
The upcoming occasion marks its third annual celebration, as Vention aims to continue fostering a spirit of innovation year-round. According to
Sergei Kovalenko, the CEO and co-founder of Vention, the essence of the event lies in the belief that exemplary inventions stem from the fusion of daring ideas and robust execution. They do not arise in a vacuum but require collaboration and technical expertise.
Expanded Contest for All Stages of Development
From
May 15, 2026, applications will be accepted for the newly envisioned
InVention Incubator and Transformation Lab. This initiative broadens its horizons by catering to a variety of organizations—from startups to mid-size and Enterprise companies. Marc Karasu, CMO at Vention stated, “We are opening our doors to organizations across various development stages; whether they are fresh startups or established enterprises, our aim is to provide them the tools they need to progress quickly and launch innovative solutions.”
This year's contest extends its reach to companies not only from the
United States but also the
United Kingdom,
Germany, and, for the first time,
Canada. The expanded scope reflects Vention’s ambition to support a wider demographic seeking to stimulate innovation.
Triumphant participants of the contest will receive substantial benefits valued at approximately
$150,000 USD, which encompasses custom software development services that can last for up to three months. The support program will also assist organizations in (i) accelerating product development, (ii) validating and scaling their novel ideas, and (iii) navigating complex technical and business challenges.
A Legacy of Supporting Visionary Companies
Since its inception,
International Invention Day has become a centerpiece of Vention’s mission, advocating for the development of transformative solutions across multiple sectors.
Sydney Alcaraz, director of communications at Vention, emphasized that the previous winner,
AngelQ—the company known for its revolutionary AI-assisted search solution tailored for children—epitomized the mission to nurture innovation.
Entries for this year's contest will undergo rigorous evaluation by a panel of Vention leaders based on several criteria, which include readiness, feasibility, innovation, and the clarity of the applicant’s vision. Interested parties are encouraged to visit
internationalinventionday.com to get more information about the contest rules and application submissions.
