Sky Labs Supports AHA's Clinical Hypertension Award
On March 12, 2026, Sky Labs announced its support for the Established Investigator Award for Clinical Hypertension, an initiative launched by the American Heart Association (AHA). This sponsorship comes in the wake of a memorandum of understanding signed with AHA in September of the previous year, marking a significant step towards advancing hypertension research on a global scale.
Sky Labs has pledged to financially back the Established Investigator Award for Clinical Hypertension through 2028, rendering assistance amounting to approximately $90,000. This funding is earmarked for recognizing three distinguished researchers who demonstrate exceptional scientific achievements in the field of hypertension research. The funds will cover annual stipends for the chosen researchers along with the necessary expenses for organizing and implementing the award program. Eligibility criteria stipulate that candidates must be members of the AHA's Scientific Council on Hypertension.
Jack Byunghwan Lee, CEO of Sky Labs, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "It is a great honor for us to support the American Heart Association and contribute to the global research outcomes in hypertension. We remain committed to enhancing clinical research to validate the efficacy of blood pressure management solutions while continuing our research and development that supports these initiatives."

About Sky Labs
Founded in September 2015, Sky Labs has been developing and operating the CART system, a ring-shaped healthcare device dedicated to monitoring patients with chronic conditions. The company launched its first CART device capable of monitoring atrial fibrillation through cardiac signals obtained from optical sensors in 2020. Since then, it has consistently expanded its technological capabilities.
In 2023, Sky Labs obtained medical device approval for its CART BP Pro, a ring monitor engineered for 24-hour blood pressure monitoring. By 2024, this device was acknowledged by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA) under the existing medical service for "24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring" (reimbursement code "E6547"), allowing it to be prescribed in hospitals and clinics across Korea.
Further enhancing its market presence, in September 2025, Sky Labs introduced the CART BP, a consumer-oriented ring blood pressure monitor, available via its official online store and other online retail channels.
