Major Track Expansion at Twin Eagle Terminals
Twin Eagle Terminals & Logistics (TETL) has recently completed an ambitious 2,000-foot track expansion at its transload terminal located in Big Spring, Texas. This upgrade is pivotal in increasing the terminal's capacity and further enhancing TETL's rail infrastructure to cater to growing demands in the energy and industrial sectors.
With this expansion, the terminal now boasts a total of over 37,000 feet of rail track. The facility is strategically serviced by Union Pacific Railroad, operating around the clock to provide seamless switching and material handling operations. The new track not only increases the terminal's throughput for oversized and pipe materials but also ensures the flexibility required to handle a diverse range of commodities with enhanced efficiency.
Andy Branaugh, the President of Twin Eagle Terminals & Logistics, expressed his satisfaction with the project. He stated,
"With this expansion, we are increasing our ability to efficiently manage higher car volumes, improve velocity through the terminal, and provide our customers with more reliable, scalable transload capacity." The Big Spring site plays a crucial role in TETL’s network, and this investment is expected to support the long-term growth of its clients.
The enhanced infrastructure not only increases operational capacity but also offers customers a more flexible approach to transloading, which significantly alleviates congestion while improving the coordination of first- and last-mile logistics. This project marks a strategic step in TETL's broader vision to invest heavily in rail infrastructure and boost terminal capacity throughout its network.
