Sungrow Powers Largest Rooftop Solar Installation in Nordic Countries

Sungrow, a global leader in renewable energy solutions, proudly announces its involvement in a groundbreaking solar project in Landskrona, Sweden, which stands as the largest rooftop solar installation in the Nordic region. This remarkable initiative spans an impressive area of 100,000 square meters and includes 24,000 solar panels with a total capacity of 14 MW DC, designed to power the extensive 175,000 square meter logistics center operated by DSV.

The solar array is equipped with Sungrow's state-of-the-art string inverters, incorporating 34 units of the SG350HX model and 20 units of the SG250HX. The SG350HX inverter plays a critical role in optimizing energy production, with a maximum power output of 352 kW and the ability to support high-power modules with currents up to 20 A per string. Notably, the inverter offers 16 Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) channels and boasts an impressive efficiency rate of 99%. Additionally, the system includes real-time isolation monitoring and meets environmental protection standards of IP66/C5.

In partnership with renowned renewable energy providers Brion and Krannich, this unprecedented project sets a new standard for sustainable energy production in the Nordic industrial sector. Fredrik Davidsson, the Regional Director of Brion, expressed pride in the completion of such a monumental installation despite a challenging timeline, stating, "This is a grand example of our commitment to provide intelligent and scalable energy solutions."

Tobias Andersson, Key Account Manager at Krannich, underscored the importance of Sungrow's inverters, emphasizing how their collaboration allows installers to access top-tier support, which is crucial for projects of this scale. Raphael Henkel, Sungrow's Regional Director for Sweden and Finland, echoed this sentiment, noting that their innovative solutions align perfectly with the mission of delivering clean power.

Sungrow’s leadership in renewable technology is evident from its extensive history and proven track record. With over 28 years of experience, the company has installed 605 GW of photovoltaic inverters globally as of June 2024. Furthermore, it has earned the distinction of being the world’s top supplier of solar inverters and the most bankable energy storage company, as recognized by industry benchmarks such as SP Global Commodity Insights and BloombergNEF.

As the world increasingly gravitates toward renewable energy, projects like the one at DSV's logistics center in Landskrona serve as a testament to Sungrow’s dedication to fostering a sustainable future. With operations in more than 180 countries, backed by a network of 520 service centers, Sungrow remains committed to facilitating energy transitions that contribute to achieving net-zero emissions across nations.
