Groundbreaking Ceremony for Public Housing in Noto Town

On June 21, 2026, Daito Kentaku Co., Ltd., headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, celebrated the commencement of the reconstruction public housing development project in Noto Town, Ishikawa Prefecture. In line with forward-thinking construction practices, this initiative employs the Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) method, which is lighter than concrete and significantly reduces carbon dioxide emissions compared to traditional reinforced concrete (RC) structures. The CLT construction method also boasts enhanced earthquake resistance and insulation properties.

Each housing complex aims to foster community interactions through the addition of common meeting spaces and outdoor areas, promoting social engagement among residents. Additionally, the design incorporates barrier-free features to ensure accessibility for all community members, aligning with the local characteristics of Noto Town.

Construction for both districts is slated to begin in June 2026, with an anticipated move-in date set for spring 2027.
