Kyoritsuseiyaku Launches Official LINE Service for Pet Owners

Kyoritsuseiyaku Co., Ltd., headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has announced the launch of its official LINE service targeting dog and cat owners, effective September 26. This service, dubbed the Kyoritsuseiyaku Official LINE, aims to provide valuable information that helps maintain pet health while facilitating smoother access to registering with local veterinary clinics connected to Royal Canin's therapeutic diets.

Service Overview

The Kyoritsuseiyaku Official LINE will sequentially release information beneficial for pet health maintenance. In conjunction with the start of sales of Royal Canin therapeutic diets at accredited stores, it will streamline the registration process for the "Primary Veterinary Clinic Registration Site".

Steps for Registration and Purchase

To register and purchase from accredited stores using the LINE service, users can follow these simple steps:

1. Scan the QR code displayed in the store to add the Kyoritsuseiyaku Official LINE as a friend.
2. Select the 'New Member Registration' from the LINE menu.
3. Visit the Primary Veterinary Clinic Registration Site, entering the required information.

Upon completion of the registration, a barcode for store purchases is displayed on the user's smartphone. Store staff will scan this barcode at checkout for payment completion.

To purchase therapeutic diets, registration on the Primary Veterinary Clinic Registration Site managed by Kyoritsuseiyaku is essential. Using this LINE service enhances the accessibility for dog and cat owners to the registration sites at accredited stores, ensuring pets' nutritional needs are appropriately met.

In the near future, the Kyoritsuseiyaku Official LINE will also provide useful tips and attractive offers focused on pet health and other product/service information.

About Therapeutic Diets

Therapeutic diets are specifically designed nutritional products with adjusted ingredient quantities and ratios for pets with certain diseases or health conditions. These products are intended for use under veterinary supervision as part of a holistic pet management approach. Administering these diets without proper veterinary guidance, or discontinuing their use prematurely, may elevate health risks for pets.

To address this concern, Kyoritsuseiyaku implemented the Primary Veterinary Clinic Registration System in October last year to assure that pet owners are connected to their veterinarians when purchasing therapeutic diets. A new distribution model was introduced to sell these diets exclusively through veterinary clinics and approved online stores. This September, the distribution model expanded to include accredited brick-and-mortar locations.

Through the Kyoritsuseiyaku Official LINE, the company aims to promote convenience in registering for the Primary Veterinary Clinic Registration Site, while actively participating in initiatives that support pet health.

Initial Accredited Locations

Starting on September 26, the initial accredited stores will include approximately 200 Petemo locations (directly operated pet specialty stores by AEON Pet) throughout the country. Additional accredited store sales participants are scheduled to grow over time.
