Campus Expands to Atlanta with New Support Hub
In a significant development for the educational landscape, Campus, an innovative two-year college, has announced the opening of its new office in Atlanta. This move is part of the college's strategy to provide comprehensive support services tailored to the needs of its expanding student body across the United States.
Founded by Tade Oyerinde, a tech entrepreneur with deep ties to the Atlanta community, Campus aims to address the frustrations many learners face regarding the cost and pace of traditional higher education. With the Atlanta office, the college plans to hire 100 staff members in the first year, and another 100 by the end of 2026, focusing on student success coaches and support staff.
Oyerinde expressed excitement about establishing a presence in his hometown, stating, "I am incredibly proud to bring Campus to ATL. I grew up surrounded by some of the kindest and most authentic people here, who I want serving in our student support roles." This reflects the college's commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
The educational model at Campus is unique, offering live, online teaching from professors affiliated with prestigious institutions like Stanford and Georgia Tech. This approach not only enhances the learning experience but also ensures that students are better prepared for their future endeavors, whether that means stepping right into the workforce or transferring to four-year colleges. 24/7 access to on-demand tutoring and personal coaching forms a fundamental part of this robust support system, which is scientifically backed to improve graduation rates significantly.
With a selection of four-year institutions already welcoming Campus graduates, students have diverse pathways to further their education post-graduation. Potential transfer options include well-known universities such as NYU, Penn State, and UC San Diego.
The Atlanta hub will be strategically located at Tower Place 100, 3340 Peachtree Road NE in Buckhead, with a formal opening planned for May 6. The inauguration event is expected to draw notable figures, including Atlanta's Mayor Andre Dickens and investor Shaquille O'Neal, who will help highlight the college’s commitment to transforming education.
Campus has been recognized for its innovation in education, including a recent accolade from Fast Company as one of the Most Innovative Companies of 2024. Through its distinctive methodology and state-of-the-art technology platform, Campus.edu aims to set a new standard for higher education, making it more accessible and equitable for all learners.
