NextWave Integrates Over 500MW of Solar Projects into PVPulse™ Monitoring System
In an exciting announcement today, NextWave Energy Monitoring, a leading solar energy monitoring solutions provider, has officially onboarded over 500 megawatts (MW) of new solar energy projects into its advanced PVPulse™ monitoring platform. This initiative, carried out in partnership with Cenergy, a prominent national solar developer and EPC firm, includes the integration of the largest utility-scale solar project utilizing NextWave’s innovative software.
Key Features of the New Solar Integration
The newly added solar projects, comprising a total capacity of 529 MW, feature a range of sizes, including a remarkable 300 MW solar array located in California. This utility-scale project is the first of its kind to utilize NextWave’s PVPulse™ software, renowned for its capability in enhancing energy yield through data-driven insights.
NextWave's PVPulse™ platform leverages advanced data acquisition systems (DAS) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) hardware to collect invaluable localized weather and performance data, enabling Cenergy to optimize their clean energy assets efficiently. The deployment of these next-gen technologies is anticipated to empower Cenergy's teams to rapidly identify and resolve any operational issues, thereby minimizing downtime and maximizing energy generation output across their solar fleet.
Accelerated Rollout and Deployment
Having finalized their onboarding agreement in May 2025, the collaboration is now in full production mode for the custom DAS equipment needed for these projects. Cenergy aims to deploy these assets in phases between Q3 2025 and Q3 2027, coinciding with their larger clean energy project timelines. Notably, NextWave's swift deployment capabilities stand out, with project hardware typically coming online in an average of just 2 to 4 weeks—significantly faster than the industry norm.
Commitment to Excellence
NextWave’s commitment to delivering high-quality monitoring solutions is evident through its tailored approach to meeting the complex demands of stakeholders involved in the solar energy sector—from project developers to utilities. Their software not only guarantees accountability and transparency across the board but also fosters a collaborative partnership with clients like Cenergy.
Cenergy has emphasized its decision to partner exclusively with NextWave to maximize the performance of their solar assets. The relationship has shown Cenergy's confidence in NextWave's capabilities to ensure effective monitoring systems. Andrew B. Goldin, Cenergy's Senior Vice President of EPC, praised the engineering expertise provided by NextWave, stating, "Their communication and understanding of both our and the utility's needs have made them a valuable extension of our team."
Looking Ahead
NextWave Energy Monitoring reflects a broader philosophy in the renewable energy industry: successful solar projects are built on the principles of cooperation, shared objectives, and proactive engagement. Nader Yarpezeshkan, the CEO of NextWave, illustrates this vision by stating, "Our focus is to ensure that monitoring systems are integral components rather than an afterthought in project design and execution. By fostering a relationship built on mutual understanding, we set the stage for superior long-term performance across all solar projects."
As NextWave and Cenergy embark on this journey, they are setting a remarkable precedent for how solar energy projects can harness advanced technology to maximize efficiency and sustainability.
