Healthconnect Texas Launches New Headquarters to Enhance Connected Care Across the State

Healthconnect Texas Opens New Headquarters

On June 16, 2026, Healthconnect Texas, renowned for its role as the Statewide Health Information Exchange for Texas, celebrated the inauguration of its new headquarters located at 3701 Kirby Dr. in Houston. This event was a significant gathering, bringing together prominent healthcare leaders and community representatives from across the state to embark on a future of improved health connectivity.

A Milestone in Collaboration

The unveiling of this new space marks not just a new address for Healthconnect Texas, but rather a pivotal moment for healthcare in Texas. Earlier this year, Healthconnect Texas integrated with the Patient Care Intervention Center, a move that has culminated in the formation of the largest interoperability network in the state. With over 27 million Texans served, this network now harmonizes both clinical and social data, forging an essential link between healthcare and community resources.

CEO Junaid Husain reflected on this achievement, emphasizing that the new headquarters symbolizes both their progress and future direction. He stated, "We have proudly built one of the nation's largest integrated health and community information exchange networks, helping connect the people, organizations, and information that improves health." His vision underscores a commitment to fostering a healthier, more connected future for every Texan.

A Hub for Interconnected Care

The design of the new headquarters emphasizes collaboration and partnership, aimed at supporting a myriad of stakeholders including healthcare providers, payers, academic institutions, public health departments, and social services. This collaborative atmosphere is essential for executing whole-person care strategies across Texas, ultimately leading to improved health outcomes for its residents.

During the grand opening, attendees enjoyed guided tours of the facility, engaging with organizational leaders. Discussions were focused on ways to enhance coordinated care, reflecting Healthconnect Texas's mission of fostering interconnectedness for better health management.

Kallol Mahata, Chief Product Officer, highlighted the significance of this milestone, stating, "This milestone reflects what is possible when technology, partnerships, and purpose come together." The integration of healthcare and community organizations creates a comprehensive framework that not only facilitates care coordination but also effectively addresses the nuanced needs of every Texan.

Promoting Healthier Communities

The core principle of the celebration was a belief in the power of connection. It emphasized how vital it is for healthcare and community partners to link together, bridging the gap between data and actionable initiatives. This interconnectedness can lead to healthier communities and forge better opportunities for all.

In the wake of this grand opening, Healthconnect Texas seeks to further its mission as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing health data connectivity. By leveraging secure clinical data exchanges, a community-based referral system, and analytics, the organization is poised to improve overall health and wellness throughout Texas. As the state stands at this transformative juncture, the future looks bright for the interconnected health and community networks powered by Healthconnect Texas.
