On January 1, 2026, the Excellent Mizuho Group Home in Nagoya will be the first in Japan to fully implement the innovative shock-absorbing flooring mat named 'Koroyawa®', developed by Magic Shields. Falls leading to fractures, especially hip fractures, have become critical issues in the field of elder care, severely affecting the quality of life and functional abilities of the elderly. In September 2023, an initial implementation of the 'Koroyawa®' flooring was conducted at the Excellent Kobe Assisted Living Facility, which encompasses 49 rooms. The results have been promising, with no reported hospitalizations due to hip fractures from falls within the rooms since the application. This success has laid the foundation for expanding this initiative to the new facility in Nagoya.
