Newmark Enhances Global Property and Facilities Management to Drive Client Solutions

In a strategic move to better serve its clients, Newmark Group, Inc. has announced the unification of its Property Management and Facilities Management services. This change aims to provide a more comprehensive end-to-end solution for owners and occupiers worldwide. With this new structure, Richard Holden has been appointed as the President of Property and Facilities Management, while Jason Martindale takes on the role of Global Facilities Management Leader.

Luis Alvarado, Newmark's Chief Operating Officer, expressed optimism about the benefits this new alignment will bring to the company's clientele. By merging these services, Newmark expects to leverage synergies that will enhance operational efficiency and the quality of service offered. This integrated approach not only streamlines operations but also supports the sustainability goals of clients, allowing for innovative solutions that align with broader business objectives.

Holden, a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in the industry, has been instrumental in enhancing the company’s Property Management operations since joining Newmark in late 2019. His leadership in driving service improvements for owner and investor clients in the U.S. has paved the way for this expanded role, which now encompasses Facilities Management. Under his guidance, Newmark strives to maintain high standards of service and satisfaction across diverse markets.

Martindale, who has been with Newmark since January 2023, brings a wealth of experience in facilities management. He will lead the global efforts to implement innovative solutions tailored to multi-site commercial real estate portfolios. His expertise will be vital in realizing the company's vision of providing top-notch service and enhancing operational excellence across various client portfolios.

The restructuring comes as Newmark continues to expand its international footprint, recently bolstering its capabilities with the acquisition of Gerald Eve and setting up brokerage operations in France and Germany. This expansion supports Newmark's ambitious goal of generating over $2 billion in revenues from recurring business within the next five years.

Elizabeth Hart, President of Leasing for North America, highlighted the successful growth of Management Services, noting that Newmark's revenues in this sector have shot up by approximately 78% over the past four years, with managed square footage increasing by 74%. Such growth reflects the effectiveness of integrating various service lines and cross-selling opportunities with other sectors of the company, including Leasing and Capital Markets.

As the company looks forward to enhancing its global presence, Alvarado emphasized that the new structure will not only benefit clients by providing greater visibility and access to a wider array of solutions, but it will also allow Newmark to operate with enhanced agility and confidence.

Holden remarked, "With a more cohesive strategy in place, clients gain better visibility and control, enabling them to make more informed decisions. This unified approach to operations and cost management promotes long-term value creation for our clients."

Martindale added, "I am excited to collaborate with Richard and our global teams to deliver tailored solutions that align with our clients' evolving requirements. Our commitment to innovation uniquely positions Newmark to provide a smarter, more integrated approach to real estate management."

This strategic enhancement of Newmark's global Property and Facilities Management services underscores the company’s commitment to its clients and sets a robust framework for future growth and innovation. For more information about Newmark and its service offerings, visit nmrk.com.
