The film is part of Ichiken’s initiative known as “New 4K,” aimed at redefining the industry's image to combat common stereotypes of being ‘harsh, dirty, and dangerous’. Instead, it focuses on four key aspects: income, vacation, aspirations, and being ‘cool’ in the workplace. Through the lens of this initiative, the film portrays not only the elegance of commercial construction but also the professionalism exhibited at construction sites and the beauty of teamwork.
Ichiken has a longstanding relationship with the APA Group, having been involved in the new construction of APA Hotels for nearly 15 years. As they embark on their 35th project in this series, they enthusiastically refer to key personnel involved as "Ichiken’s APA Legends." These include sales representatives and site managers who have been instrumental in creating enduring partnerships and executing large-scale projects. They come together to share invaluable stories and insights from their journeys in the construction industry.
Roundtable Participants:
- - Akihiro Toyoshima: Initial sales representative and now Sapporo branch manager.
- - Hiroshi Akashi: First site manager, currently assigned special duties at the Tokyo branch.
- - Kuni Hiro Masuda: Manager of the ongoing Saitama Shintoshin project, tied for the most projects supervised.
- - Nobuhisa Kitakata: First deputy site manager and currently oversees the Sapporo Station project.
- - Koji Hashimoto: Manager with the highest number of guest rooms constructed, also active at the Tokyo branch.
Additionally, the film features comments from Fumiko Mototani, the President of APA Hotels, who contributes her perspective on this successful collaboration.
The roundtable discussion aims to inspire the next generation of employees by making the construction industry more appealing and showcasing the rewarding aspects of their profession. Through this initiative, Ichiken hopes to foster a better understanding of the construction sector among young professionals and enhance interest in potential career opportunities.
As stakeholders in the construction sector, Ichiken aims to continue promoting industry excellence and is excited about the positive portrayal of their ongoing partnership with the APA Group.
