2028 Chōju Tokyo Nenrin-Pick Mascot and Slogan Voting
The anticipation for the 2028 Chōju Tokyo Nenrin-Pick is building as the event prepares for its official unveiling. Set to be the 39th National Health and Welfare Festival, this event is expected to draw widespread attention and participation.
Introduction of the Official Mascot
We are excited to announce that the mascot for the 2028 event is 'Yurito,' who also serves as the Sports Promotion Ambassador for Tokyo. The design of Yurito incorporates elements that reflect the essence of Tokyo, including the traditional Edo purple and patterns reminiscent of Edo culture. Additionally, the mascot showcases the city’s flower, the cherry blossom (Somei Yoshino), capturing the city's unique charm and pride. As part of the event's promotion and outreach efforts, Yurito will play a crucial role in connecting with the community and raising enthusiasm for the upcoming festival.
Slogan Voting - Your Voice Matters
In a bid to create a memorable atmosphere around the event, we are inviting the public to participate in voting for the official slogan. We received over 3,000 submissions, and the planning committee has narrowed it down to four captivating options:
1.
Connecting Generations with the Spirit of the Edo
2.
Letting the Future Flourish with the Flowers of Edo
3.
Weaving Longevity into the Spirit of the Edo for the Future
4.
Whispers of Dreams Shining in the City of Flowers and Smiles
Voting will take place from February 13 (Friday) to March 13 (Friday). We encourage everyone to cast their vote to help shape the spirit of the 2028 Nenrin-Pick and make it a more familiar and engaging event for all involved.
