Transforming Corporate Events: Bosch's Innovative 2026 Entry Ceremony for New Employees

A New Era of Corporate Events at Bosch

In an exciting shift away from traditional corporate ceremonies, Bosch is set to host its innovative 2026 Entry Ceremony on April 1, 2026, in Yokohama, Japan. Organized in partnership with Undoukaiya Inc., this year’s ceremony embraces a collaborative spirit by inviting new employees to participate in creating their own corporate movies. This evolution reflects a broader trend in corporate onboarding, where the focus has moved from formal speeches to engaging, hands-on experiences that deepen understanding of company culture.

A Break from Tradition

Since 2017, Bosch has transformed its entry ceremonies into interactive events that encourage meaningful connections among new hires. Moving away from the conventional approach where speeches by executives dominate, Bosch’s current format emphasizes teamwork and creativity, allowing new employees to take the lead in their onboarding experience.

During the upcoming event, approximately 110 new hires will work in 10 teams to produce corporate movies that highlight Bosch’s values and strengths. This initiative stems from their desire to present Bosch through their own perspectives, fostering a sense of ownership and pride in their new roles.

The ceremony will be held at Bosch's headquarters in Yokohama, located in Kanagawa Prefecture. The event will unfold as follows:

Collaborating through Creativity

Each team will brainstorm and develop unique narratives that encapsulate Bosch's appeal while filming their contributions. Notably, during the afternoon session, members of the executive team will join the new hires, bridging the gap between different levels of the organization as they collaborate on storytelling and video production. This intermingling fosters strong interpersonal connections and nurtures a collaborative workplace culture.

Setting the Stage for Future Success

The theme for the 2026 Entry Ceremony, “Feel the Mobility,” encapsulates Bosch's vision:
  • - Integrate: Building a cohesive team from diverse individuals.
  • - Ignition: Empowering employees' passion as a driving force.
  • - Accelerate: Launching new beginnings with enthusiasm and momentum.

Through the corporate movie production program, Bosch new hires will experience teamwork and creativity firsthand, essential aspects of the company’s ethos.
