Explore Your Future in Hospitality at Tokyo Station Hotel's Kids Workshop

Discover the Joy of Hospitality at Tokyo Station Hotel

Tokyo Station Hotel, a designated important cultural property nestled within the iconic Marunouchi Station, has been offering diverse experiential events throughout the year. This summer, in line with the school holidays, they are launching a special Kids Workshop tailored for elementary school students! It’s an amazing opportunity for children to engage in independent research or create memorable experiences during their summer break.

The workshop includes hands-on experiences in either restaurant service or housekeeping. During the restaurant service session, children will learn the art of greeting, bowing, and serving food, which they will then present to their parents at their table. In the housekeeping experience, they will master bed-making and the unique TSH method of towel folding. Professional staff members will directly teach these essential skills, giving children a taste of what it’s like to work in the hospitality industry.

Through this opportunity, children will be encouraged to cultivate a sense of empathy towards others, a valuable lesson that will benefit them in everyday life. With the aim of sparking their curiosity, the workshop hopes to inspire children about future careers in hospitality.

Workshop Highlights

Restaurant Service Experience

Located in the midpoint of Marunouchi Station, children will embody hotel staff and participate in restaurant service activities. They'll assist with guiding guests to their seats and serving meals, giving them a genuine glimpse into the life of a hospitality professional. The serious expressions on the children’s faces will undoubtedly create cherished memories for their families.

While children are changing into uniforms, parents are invited to a mini hotel tour, where they will be shown the hotel’s highlights along with the rich history and architectural significance engrained in Tokyo Station Hotel.

Throughout the experience, children will engage with the core values of TSH: hospitality, etiquette, and gratitude, providing them valuable lessons on caring for others. Why not let your child take their first step towards becoming a future hotelier in this unique setting?
