European Central Bank Engages DXC for Enhanced IT Infrastructure Support Services

European Central Bank Partners with DXC Technology

In a significant move to strengthen its operational framework, the European Central Bank (ECB) has officially selected DXC Technology Deutschland GmbH to provide managed IT infrastructure services and end-user computing support. This decision was announced alongside the public contract award notice, which outlines a strategic partnership aimed at ensuring the ECB’s IT operations remain stable, scalable, and modern.

Details of the Agreement

The newly established framework agreement will span an initial term of five years, with an option to extend for up to an additional three years. DXC will operate exclusively from its centers within the European Economic Area, ensuring compliance with EU regulations and maintaining high standards of operational governance and security. Under this agreement, DXC will take on management, maintenance, and support responsibilities for certain IT services, allowing the ECB to focus on its core mission.

Despite the outsourcing of specific operational tasks, the ECB retains full ownership of all IT assets and will continue to host its services in secure data centers. This structure is integral to upholding the bank's governance framework and security protocols.

Enhancing Agility in Digital Operations

Juan Parra, president of DXC Technology for Europe, emphasized that the solution provided by DXC aligns closely with the ECB's vision. Parra stated, "The ECB plays a crucial role in maintaining price stability and protecting the European financial system. We are proud to support this mission with our extensive technological expertise and services tailored to regulated environments."
