From Vision to Action: CIIE Enhances Global Development through Inclusive Collaboration
In an era characterized by escalating global uncertainty and rising anti-globalist sentiments, the China International Import Expo (CIIE) emerges as a crucial platform fostering openness and collaboration. This year, during an event organized by the United Nations in Geneva on June 25, entitled "Collaboration for Implementing the UN Agenda for Sustainable Development by 2030 - Contributions of China International Import Expo," the CIIE's role in promoting inclusive growth was prominently highlighted.
During this significant meeting, representatives from companies like dōTERRA and Warmpaca shared their experiences on how the CIIE has opened doors to the Chinese market. Since 2018, dōTERRA has been collaborating with Guizhou province, focusing on innovations that enhance the value of traditional Chinese herbs and improve local farmers' incomes. Similarly, Warmpaca made a breakthrough during the inaugural edition of the CIIE by collaborating with over 1,000 families to produce handmade alpaca wool products, successfully entering both the Chinese and international markets, creating jobs, and supporting local communities.
As the expo approaches, preparations have entered a dynamic new phase. On May 22, a specialized networking event took place in Chongqing, attended by nearly 40 exhibitors and more than 110 local buyers. This laid a strong foundation for deepening cooperation ahead of the CIIE. This edition of CIIE will feature an exhibition area exceeding 280,000 square meters, with its layout optimized to further showcase innovations, advanced technologies, and cutting-edge services.
Utilizing this momentum, the upcoming China-Central Asia Summit aims to intensify exchanges and collaborations. Central Asian countries, as regular participants in CIIE, consistently strengthen their ties with China by leveraging this critical platform. For instance, during the seventh edition of the expo, businesses from Kazakhstan participated more extensively than ever, showcasing a wide range of high-quality products to the Chinese market.
The upcoming eighth edition of the CIIE is expected to attract a diverse array of exhibitors, professional buyers, and attendees from various industries. Furthermore, it will serve as a pivotal venue for discussions on open economies and globalization that fosters social inclusion.
