A Day of Culinary Adventure: First French Experience for Kids
On May 6, 2025, Aniversaire Corporation hosted a unique event called "Hajimete no French 2025" (First French), focusing on providing a memorable culinary experience for children aged 3 to 10. In this third iteration of the event, following its successful inception in 2023 as part of their ESG initiatives, the celebration took place at the picturesque Aniversaire Minato Mirai Yokohama.
Seventeen families, totaling 57 participants, attended the event, where kids relished an exquisite French course while learning essential table manners and engaging in hands-on activities such as chef and patisserie experiences. Feedback collected from attendees revealed a 100% satisfaction rate, with many families expressing gratitude for the unique opportunity to create lasting memories.
Engaging Activities for Young Chefs
At the event, children were transformed into aspiring "French Masters." They started off with a fun quiz about the ingredients and kitchen tools used in French cuisine, prompting conversations between parents and children. Each young participant crafted their unique chef hat using colorful markers, setting the stage for a delightful party atmosphere.
Once ready, a toast was made with non-alcoholic sparkling beverages served in champagne glasses, allowing both adults and children to share a celebratory moment. As part of the experience, the participants enjoyed a full course meal while learning about proper table manners, including the use of napkins and cutlery.
To foster understanding and appreciation for the culinary efforts of their parents, kids participated in a chef experience where they finished off a meat dish by adding sauce. In additions to the savory dishes, children had the chance to engage in a patisserie experience where they decorated cakes and ice cream according to their parents' requests.
A Culinary Wish
As the event came to a wrap, children were invited to submit menu requests for future events directly to the chef and patissier. Youngsters shared delightful remarks, such as wishing for carrots to be added to fried chicken, a testament to their growing appreciation for food. Each kid received a unique "French Master" certification as a keepsake.
Participants’ Thoughts and Feedback
Many parents offered heartfelt feedback through a survey conducted at the event. Here are several of their comments:
- - "Returning to Aniversaire brings back memories from our wedding day, and it allows me to relive those feelings for my partner."
- - "My daughter was thrilled to see cake-making up close since she loves cooking and baking."
