Spanish Government Delegation Visits Desay SV's Intelligent Factory
In an important week for industrial development in southern Spain, Desay SV welcomed two delegations from the Spanish government at its new intelligent factory site in Linares. These visits signify the project's strategic importance as a symbol of reindustrialization in Andalusia, aimed at revitalizing the region's economy, creating skilled jobs, and positioning Linares as a new hub for smart mobility and high-tech manufacturing.
Spain has long played a significant role in the global automotive sector. With the official groundbreaking of the intelligent factory in Linares in July 2024, Desay SV marked a strategic milestone in its international expansion. The completion of the factory is expected by the end of 2025, with production of automotive displays slated to commence in 2026. In eight years, the facility aims to achieve an annual capacity of 1.5 million automotive displays, supplying global OEMs with leading solutions for vehicle cabins and driver assistance systems.
Promoting Local Industry and Employment
On June 24, 2025, Juanma Moreno, President of the Andalusian Regional Government, visited the Science and Technology Park Santana to learn about the construction progress. During his tour, he highlighted that Desay SV has launched the ‘most powerful’ touch screens for automobiles, emphasizing the company's critical role in rebuilding the local automotive ecosystem. Moreno pointed out that the Desay SV project represents a significant Chinese investment contributing to the economic development of the region. This initiative marks a pivotal step in industrial revitalization, fourteen years after the closure of Santana Motor.
Moreno also noted that efforts would be made to strengthen Andalusia's status as a key automotive center, including additional regional investment incentives and targeted administrative support for companies within the industrial park, such as Desay SV.
A National Strategic Initiative
On June 26, Jordi Hereu, Spain’s Minister of Industry and Tourism, reaffirmed his government’s full support during his visit. The Spanish government has allocated €5.5 million to Desay SV as part of PERTE VEC III, intended to support sustainable transport and industrial modernization. Minister Hereu characterized the project as a “strategic flagship initiative” for Spain’s transformation in the automotive sector. He stated, “After decades of deindustrialization in Europe, Spain and Andalusia are entering a new industrial era. This project exemplifies our excellent collaboration with Chinese companies and our joint efforts to shape the future of mobility.”
Amid current global challenges, Desay SV is actively enhancing its localization strategy and expanding its presence in markets like Europe, Japan, and Southeast Asia. Simultaneously, the company continues to strengthen its regional service networks. The intelligent factory project in Spain is a key initiative for Desay SV to position itself within the global automotive supply chain, offering competitive, innovative products and highly efficient services.
Conclusion
The visit from the Spanish government underscores the critical role of Desay SV in driving economic growth and job creation in Andalusia through innovative manufacturing. This partnership is set to lay the groundwork for a prosperous automotive future, fostering local industries while embracing cutting-edge technology.
