JKK's Support Measures for Single-Parent Families

JKK Tokyo implements various support measures to ensure that single-parent families can smoothly move into its residential options. Here are the main provisions:
1. Relaxation of Income Screening:
If a single-parent family does not meet the monthly income criterion for JKK housing, they can combine income support received from local governments (like child-rearing allowances) with their income for the screening process. Additionally, the income of a relative willing to act as a guarantor may also be considered under certain conditions.

2. Rent Discount Program - “Kodomo Sukusuku Wari”:
This program applies to specified residential units within JKK housing, offering a 20% rent discount, along with one month of rent-free living from the contract start date.
- Eligible Housing: Select stairwell-type residences on the 4th and 5th floors designated by JKK.
- Discount Duration: The longer of either the duration until the child turns 18 or three years from the contract’s start date.

3. Child-Rearing Family Housing Consultation Hotline:
For any inquiries regarding housing for child-rearing families, interested parties can reach out to the JKK Tokyo Housing Recruitment Center at 03-3498-9068 (available weekdays, excluding Sundays and holidays, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM).

Commitment to Support Families

JKK Tokyo continues to actively promote initiatives supporting families raising children. The organization provides housing solutions that accommodate families, collaborates with local communities to create child-friendly environments, and engages in outreach to raise awareness about child-rearing.
  • - Plans to expand the provision of spacious residences suited for families raising children.
  • - Information dissemination through newsletters aimed at supporting families in child-rearing efforts.
