This new year, from January 2nd to January 15th, 2026, visitors can enjoy a delightful variety of local Ozoni, a traditional Japanese New Year dish that symbolizes prosperity and health.

What is Ozoni?

Ozoni is more than just soup; it is a regional dish rich with tradition, showcasing the distinctive ingredients and broths that differ across Japan. Each participating shop will present its own take on Ozoni, representing six different prefectures, making this event a perfect opportunity for food enthusiasts to experience diverse regional flavors.

1. Bistro Café Momotenashi-ya at Tottori/Okayama Shimbashi Kan

This simple yet rich dish consists of round mochi soaked in azuki bean soup believed to ward off evil spirits.
- Okayama's Ozoni: ¥1,000
A flavorful broth infused with kombu and buri, featuring a hidden taste of dried squid, representing the northern region’s culinary heritage.

2. Café & Bar Mahora at Nara Mahoroba Kan
- Location: 1-8-4, Shimbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo (1F)
- Offering Date: January 3 – 15, 2026, 11:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Last Order: 5:00 PM)
- Nara's Ozoni: ¥800
This delightful bowl features round mochi in a white miso broth, traditionally enjoyed with kinako (sweet soybean flour) for dipping.

3. Kaori Hime at Kagawa/Ehime Setouchi Shunsai Kan

- Kagawa's Ozoni: ¥1,100
Featuring white miso and sweet red bean mochi, this Ozoni is complemented by round slices of vegetables symbolizing family harmony.
- Ehime's Ozoni: ¥1,100
With a clear broth filled with round mochi, daikon, carrots, and chicken, this represents the heart of the Ehime region.

4. Hibiya Shimane Kan
- Location: 1-2-2, Yurakucho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo (B1F)
- Offering Date: January 2 – 15, 2026, 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Last Order: 7:00 PM)
- Shimane's Ozoni: ¥800
A unique blend of flavors featuring round mochi made from rich, local rice and served with aromatic seaweed.

How to Participate

Collecting stamps is simple. Order a bowl of Ozoni from any of the participating shops to receive a stamp corresponding to that prefecture. Collect stamps from all four shops to enter a draw for exciting prizes, including specialty products from all six participating prefectures!

Prizes Include:

• - 6 Prefecture Prize: A combination of local specialties worth ¥20,000 for four winners.
• - 4 Shop Prizes: Each region will award 15 packs of local delicacies worth ¥3,000 each to a total of 60 lucky participants.

How Winners Are Chosen

• - Winners for the 6-prefecture prize will be drawn from those who collected stamps from all six regions.
• - The remaining participants who collected stamps from all four shops will be considered for additional prizes.
