Election Truth Alliance Initiates Legal Action Against Pennsylvania Secretary Over Election Irregularities

Legal Action for Election Integrity in Pennsylvania

The Election Truth Alliance (ETA), a non-partisan and volunteer-run organization, has taken a significant step in the pursuit of electoral transparency by filing a lawsuit against the Pennsylvania Secretary of the Commonwealth, Al Schmidt. The lawsuit, which aims to compel hand-count audits of the 2024 U.S. General Election, particularly targets the elections board of several counties, including Allegheny, Cambria, and Erie.

Background of the Lawsuit

The ETA's foundation lies in its dedication to maintaining the integrity of the electoral process through independent investigations and data analysis. This latest litigation cites a variety of serious concerns that have arisen regarding election security, including alarming discrepancies and forensic flags that suggest potential systematic irregularities in the electoral process.

One of the primary claims in the lawsuit revolves around the certification failures in Cambria County. On September 28, 2024, county officials assured the completion of Logic and Accuracy (LA) testing, declaring that all voting equipment had been properly verified. However, subsequent communications have contradicted these claims, raising red flags about the certification's integrity. During the election, the county faced significant operational difficulties, being unable to scan completed ballots across all precincts. To compensate for these issues, ballots were temporarily stored in emergency bins until new, scannable replacements could be printed. After polls closed, officials reportedly began the hand-counting of ballots. But the duplicate counting process turned out to be far more extensive than anticipated, with the number ballooning from an initial projection of 35,000 to approximately 65,000 ballots. Consequently, official records demonstrate an inconsistency, revealing 55,661 Election Day votes, which is notably over 9,000 votes fewer than that of the duplicated ballots.

Forensic Analysis and Voting Anomalies

The lawsuit further extends its scope to encompass an investigation into the voting systems utilized across Pennsylvania. Out of the 67 counties, at least 38 rely on Election Systems and Software (ESS) systems, while 14 utilize Dominion systems for optical-scan tabulation. The ETA undertook a forensic analysis which contrasted the votes received by candidates against registered voter turnout in the implicated counties. This analysis unveiled several anomalies in the results of the 2024 Presidential election, reflecting patterns observed in historical cases of vote manipulation in nations like Russia and Bolivia. Alarmingly, these discrepancies could potentially exceed a margin of victory of 120,000 votes in Pennsylvania.

Moreover, similar voting anomalies were recorded in other states, notably Minnesota and North Carolina, which are equipped with comparable electoral technology.

Objectives of the Lawsuit

The overarching aim of this lawsuit is to ensure alignment between physical paper ballot records and the electronic totals reported by voting machines. The ETA is determined to uncover any manipulations, be it electronic or otherwise, to validate the integrity of the final election results.

As the lawsuit unfolds, it is crucial to observe the developments surrounding this critical issue of electoral integrity, not only for Pennsylvania but for the broader landscape of American democracy. The actions of the Election Truth Alliance serve as a reminder of the importance of oversight and accountability within the electoral system.
