Sunflower Health Plan Achieves Remarkable Member Satisfaction in Latest LTSS Assessment

Sunflower Health Plan Reports Impressive Member Satisfaction

Sunflower Health Plan, a subsidiary of Centene Corporation, recently published the results of its annual survey focused on Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS), revealing strong satisfaction rates among its members. Conducted by Press Ganey, the survey involved the participation of 1,489 members and caregivers involved in care management programs from April to May 2026. The findings demonstrate the effectiveness and reliability of Sunflower's care services.

In the survey, an astounding 97.9% of the respondents expressed satisfaction with the care provided by Sunflower, highlighting the plan's commitment to quality. Additionally, 99.0% reported feeling safe with the support they receive from caregivers, while 97.2% stated they were satisfied with the help offered by their care managers. Such statistics underscore the trust and confidence members place in their service providers.

The positive feedback did not stop there. 96.2% of respondents were pleased with their home and community-based services. This aspect of care is crucial as it enables eligible individuals in Kansas to maintain their independence and remain in their communities rather than being placed in institutional settings. Sunflower's dedicated care management teams excel in connecting members with the appropriate services and support needed for their unique situations.

"These outcomes reflect our unwavering commitment to empowering members to live safely and with dignity within their communities," stated Michael Stephens, President and CEO of Sunflower Health Plan. He emphasized that through collaborative efforts with care managers, caregivers, providers, and local partners, they could align services with the needs of the members.

Further, nearly 90% of survey participants indicated that their care managers discussed various services that could assist them in achieving their personal goals. Over 96% noted that the support staff respects and honors their preferences, further solidifying the person-centered approach embedded in Sunflower's care philosophy.

Nan Perrin, Senior Director of Care Management at LTSS, commented on the importance of gathering member feedback, stating, "Member feedback is one of the most essential measures of our success. These findings help us understand what we're doing well and where we can continue to enhance the member experience." This commitment to continuous improvement has been reflected through annual surveys held since 2017.

The Long-Term Services and Supports programs provided by Sunflower help facilitate access to vital services, enabling members to thrive within their home environments. Through personalized care management and effective service coordination, the organization strives to enhance the overall health of its members, prioritizing local, community-based healthcare delivery.
