The event takes place from March 25 to 27 at the Von Braun Convention Center in Huntsville, Alabama, where AM General will be located at Booth #1120.
The HUMVEE platform has become a cornerstone of the U.S. Army's light tactical vehicle fleet, and as AM General looks to the future, it aims to enhance the inherent strengths of this iconic vehicle. The Future Driven HUMVEE concept showcases a blend of modern technology and time-tested design elements that promise to maintain the vehicle’s relevance and effectiveness in various military applications for decades to come.
The Future Driven HUMVEE Concept
Jim Cannon, President and CEO of AM General, highlighted the significance of innovation in their approach, stating, "The Future Driven HUMVEE™ concept encapsulates the company's innovative spirit and our understanding that continuous improvement isn't just a cliché." He expressed excitement about presenting the future of the HUMVEE, focusing on improved safety and capabilities designed to elevate the performance of the Warfighter.
A standout feature of the upcoming HUMVEE model is the integration of a state-of-the-art restraint system developed in collaboration with IMMI, a leader in advanced safety solutions. This new restraint technology, known as the MARS (MBrace and RollTek System), sets a new benchmark for occupant safety in military vehicles, addressing the critical need for protection on the battlefield.
Additionally, the exhibited HUMVEE 4-CT model will showcase enhanced lethality and protection capabilities. It is equipped with the Kongsberg Remote Weapon Station, Protector SR4, and a vehicle-mounted counter-drone protection system from Axon, named DedroneOnTheMove. These advancements collectively enhance the vehicle's mission success capability and underline the importance of adaptability in military operations.
