Secomea Accelerates Product Innovation to Reinforce Market Leadership in Secure Remote Access for OT

Secomea Accelerates Product Innovation

Secomea, a global leader in secure remote access for operational technology (OT) environments, has announced a significant expansion of its product and technology organization. This expansion is marked by a doubling of investments in product development, aimed directly at enhancing innovation, scalability, and the company's long-term market leadership.

Michael Ferdinandsen, CEO of Secomea, emphasized that the move is a direct response to the increasing customer base and the growing demand for secure, compliant, and user-friendly remote access solutions for manufacturing and industrial facilities. He stated, "Secure remote access has become a critical infrastructure for modern manufacturing. Due to rising cyber risks, increasing regulatory pressure, and heightened global collaboration, manufacturers and machinery builders are in need of solutions specifically tailored for OT environments, rather than adapted from IT. The doubling of product investments ensures we meet these demands and continue providing long-term value to our clients."

To further bolster its capabilities, Secomea is enhancing its leadership team through the promotion of internal talent and targeted recruitment of external leaders. This new team will drive Secomea's product strategy, accelerate the implementation of groundbreaking technologies, and push forward a long-term vision for redefining the industrial connectivity landscape.

In this revamped structure, Knud Kegel has transitioned from Chief Product Officer (CPO) to Chief Technology Product Officer (CTPO). In his new role, Kegel merges product management, technical execution, and platform architecture under one strategic umbrella, ensuring a tighter alignment between customer needs, product innovation, and technical execution. He remarked, "Our customers rely on Secomea for critical aspects of secure access to their cyber-physical systems (CPS) without slowing operations down. By unifying product and technology leadership, we can act more rapidly, scale smarter, and continue to deliver a platform consistently aligned with the real demands of OT environments."

To strengthen its technical leadership, Secomea appointed Thomas Have as Vice President of Engineering. Have comes with extensive leadership experience, most recently serving as SVP Engineering at LogPoint, where he had a solid track record in building and scaling enterprise-class security platforms in regulated environments. He explained, "Secomea operates at the intersection of cybersecurity, compliance, and operational continuity. This combination requires both technical excellence and a deep understanding of how customers actually work. I look forward to supporting the development of a platform designed explicitly for practical use in industrial environments."

Secomea is also setting up a dedicated product marketing division to sharpen its positioning, clarify customer benefits, and strengthen its leadership in the secure remote access space for OT. This new department will be led by Ingrid Arem Gundersen, who has years of experience as Secomea's Product Leader. Her team will focus on enhancing the connection between customer needs, product possibilities, and market communication. Arem Gundersen stated, "As the category matures, clarity becomes more important than ever. Our aim is to communicate clearly what Secomea stands for, for whom our solutions are built, and the concrete benefits they offer—whether you are responsible for OT security, facility availability, or global service operations."

Given the increasing cyber risks and regulatory pressures manufacturers face while expanding their global service operations, Secomea is committed to continuing its investments in crucial areas—building a secure, reliable, and user-friendly platform that protects industrial production environments and supports collaboration across the entire industrial ecosystem.
