Fusion Health's 2025 Review: Driving Purpose and Consistency in Public-Sector Care

Fusion Health's 2025 Year in Review: Advancing Public-Sector Care

In 2025, Fusion Health demonstrated unwavering commitment by aligning its operational strategies with the values and workflows of its clients. This approach emphasized consistency, accuracy, and respect for the environments where healthcare is delivered under various constraints. Throughout the year, Fusion Health strengthened partnerships with correctional and juvenile justice sectors, expanded its pharmacy tools, and made significant investments in its workforce to enhance service delivery effectively.

Fusion Health’s achievements in 2025 include expanding its client base by adding three new state agencies. This move helped Fusion extend its services across numerous facilities, impacting hundreds of system users and over 20,000 individuals within both resident and incarcerated populations through its comprehensive software solutions.

Key Highlights of the Year

A pivotal development was the establishment of a new multi-year contract with the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS). This milestone signifies a substantial expansion into public-sector healthcare for Fusion, now supporting state hospitals catering to patients with intellectual disabilities and mental health needs. Under this agreement, Fusion is set to implement its CIPS pharmacy management system across 14 IDHS facilities, replacing outdated legacy platforms to modernize pharmacy operations, thus enhancing care for approximately 3,400 residents.

Another notable partnership was signed with MMCAP (Multi-State Collaborative Alliance Program), a national cooperative purchasing organization. This contract facilitates streamlined access and competitive pricing for Fusion360, which is Fusion Health’s solution for compliance with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA). By leveraging this partnership, more public-sector pharmacy teams can adopt DSCSA-compliant workflows, ensuring they are equipped to meet requirements amidst rigorous audit standards and operational demands.

Building Strong Relationships in Corrections

Fusion's commitment to the correctional healthcare community shone brightly through various initiatives. At the start of 2025, Fusion engaged actively with correctional leaders at the American Correctional Association's Winter Conference, reinforcing essential relationships vital for cultivating trust in high-accountability environments. Fusion representatives also participated in the 2025 National Conference on Juvenile Justice, where they connected with judges and youth service professionals to focus on safety and positive outcomes for vulnerable populations.

In April, the company attended the National Commission on Correctional Health Care Spring Conference to showcase its solutions and gather insights from frontline clinical and operational leaders grappling with staffing challenges and rigorous security protocols. These collaborative efforts continued to foster dependable workflows in correctional settings, crucial for delivering quality care.

Global Engagements and Recognitions

In February, Bryan J. Jakovcic (CEO) and Akanksha Karwar, MPH (COO) represented Fusion at an international corrections technology conference in Bangkok, where they contributed a practical perspective on effective technologies tailored for secure facilities. This engagement highlighted how thoughtfully designed
