Celebrate Easter with Joel Robuchon
As spring approaches, renowned French chef Joel Robuchon’s restaurants in Tokyo are gearing up to celebrate the traditional festival of Easter. From March 25, 2026, to April 6, 2026, three of Robuchon’s celebrated establishments—Gastronomie “Joel Robuchon”, La Table de Joel Robuchon, and L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon—will offer limited-time, Easter-themed desserts inspired by classic symbols of the holiday: eggs, rabbits, and chickens.
Gastronomie “Joel Robuchon”
At Gastronomie “Joel Robuchon” in Ebisu, guests can look forward to a new dessert that evokes the serene image of a hen laying eggs in a nest. Upon cracking open a chocolate cloche, diners will discover a beautiful nest of kataifi (crispy pastry), revealing an Easter egg created from the finest Madagascar vanilla espuma and a sorbet of blood orange and shiranui citrus. This delightful dish is layered on a mascarpone cream base and is accompanied by a tangy kumquat sauce, offering a refreshing spring delicacy. This special dessert is part of the restaurant's 68,000 yen gourmet course.
La Table de Joel Robuchon
Over at La Table de Joel Robuchon, also located in Ebisu, a classic dessert gets a festive twist. This Easter, a chocolate dessert shaped like a chicken will steal the spotlight. Depicting a vibrant pink hen, this dish features a rich chocolate ganache, chocolate cream, and cocoa glass, all combined for a delightful experience. Each bite brings different textures and the deep flavor of chocolate, making this dessert a true celebration of Easter. Notably, the seasonal dessert is included in the restaurant's lunch and dinner prefix courses, with no additional charge.
L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon
The final highlight is found at L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Roppongi, which will offer its own Easter-themed creation from March 30 to April 10, 2026. Here, guests can enjoy a playful dessert inspired by a rabbit frolicking in the spring forest. This charming dish features a white chocolate rabbit that encapsulates a luxurious mousse and layer of Fukuoka-produced Yame matcha, decadent chocolate ganache, and refreshing citrus espuma. Dishes are complemented by a crunchy crumble and matcha sablé, ensuring a delightful tasting experience.
Easter Celebrations in France
In France, Easter celebrations extend to Easter Monday, known as “Lundi de Pâques,” where families gather to welcome the arrival of spring together. Following this tradition, the limited dessert offerings will be available until April 6, with L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon extending its offerings until April 10. This gives everyone the chance to indulge in these special Easter desserts, meticulously crafted to celebrate the joyous occasion.
