Hankook Tire Takes Center Stage at the 2025 Miami E-Prix

Hankook Tire, a leading global tire manufacturer, is gearing up to demonstrate its outstanding electric vehicle (EV) tire technology as the exclusive tire supplier and official technical partner for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship during the 2025 Miami E-Prix on April 12, 2025. This event marks the return of Formula E racing to Miami after more than a decade, promising excitement for motorsport enthusiasts.

The Miami E-Prix will be held at the renowned Homestead-Miami Speedway, known for its unique layout combining high-speed and challenging segments that demand exceptional skill from drivers. The track extends 1.49 miles (2.414 kilometers) and presents opportunities for drivers to showcase their precision handling and cornering abilities.

Central to Hankook's involvement in this racing event is the GEN3 Evo iON Race tire. Designed explicitly for the latest generation of racing cars, this tire has garnered attention from both drivers and officials for its superior grip, responsiveness, cornering agility, and durability. Capable of supporting cars that reach speeds of up to 200 mph (322 km/h) and accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 1.86 seconds—30% faster than some current Formula 1 cars—the GEN3 Evo iON Race tire continually proves its remarkable performance on the track.

In addition to its role as the tire supplier, Hankook is committed to enhancing fan engagement with a special pop-up event named Formula E X Hankook Tube Shop. This interactive experience will be held from April 9 to 11 on Miami Beach, following a successful debut in South Korea. The Tube Shop will allow visitors to rent tire-shaped tubes and take part in various activities, including social media games and tire toss competitions, creating a playful environment for motorsport fans.

At the Homestead-Miami Speedway, Hankook will also feature an immersive booth in the Fan Village, where attendees can explore their iON tire line—recognized as the world's first comprehensive range of tires specifically for electric vehicles. The booth will showcase various products and include photo opportunities that celebrate the synergy between innovation and motorsport.

The 2025 Formula E Season includes 16 rounds spanning 10 major cities, featuring intense competition among six leading EV manufacturers, including Porsche, Jaguar, Nissan, Stellantis, Mahindra, and Lola Cars.
