As the founder and principal consultant at BioProcess Resources LLC, he specializes in critical areas such as single-use technologies, sterile filtration, and bioprocessing facility design. His illustrious career includes a noteworthy 26-year tenure at Sartorius, culminating as Senior Vice President for Global Product and Marketing Management in Bioprocess. His subsequent role as CEO of G-CON Manufacturing saw him pioneer modular cleanroom infrastructure tailored for advanced therapeutics.

Lukas Utiger, likewise, brings a wealth of knowledge with over thirty years of experience in executive leadership roles within the global CDMO and bioprocessing landscape. He has held prominent positions at Lonza Group AG, where he swiftly advanced through the ranks to become Chief Operating Officer of Lonza Life Science Ingredients and later, the President of Lonza Bioscience. Following his tenure at Lonza, he led DSM Pharmaceutical Products and DPx Fine Chemicals, eventually guiding the company through its merger with Patheon.

Utiger shared his enthusiasm, stating, “It’s a privilege to join the passionate team at AVANT BIO. My focus will be on fostering commercial scale-up for innovative technology startups, leveraging our significant experience to drive growth and efficiency.” He currently offers his consulting expertise through Utiger Life Science Consulting and is actively involved on the boards of Abzena, Aenova, and Sharp Packaging Services.
