Hankook Tire Strengthens North American Leadership to Boost Growth Strategy
Hankook Tire & Technology, a prominent name in the tire industry, has made notable executive changes within its North American sales and marketing division. These updates, which were officially announced today, are crucial for reinforcing the company's strategic growth plans for both consumer and commercial tire markets. The leadership reshuffle is indicative of Hankook's commitment to its future in North America, a region that plays a pivotal role in the company's global strategy.
Kyuwang (Ken) Cho has been appointed as Senior Vice President of North America Marketing. This new role marks a significant transition for Cho, who previously managed both the passenger car/light truck (PC/LT) sales and marketing operations. With over 25 years of experience at Hankook and a solid background including his role as Vice President of Global Sales in Korea, Cho is expected to drive innovative marketing strategies that align with the company’s objectives.
K.C. Jensen has also stepped into an expanded role as Vice President of US PC/LT Sales, transitioning from overseeing the Western region to managing national sales efforts. Since joining Hankook in 2018, Jensen has been instrumental in shaping the company's market strategies and driving growth, enhancing their competitive edge within the industry.
Moreover, Mark Roe returns to Hankook as Vice President of US TBR Sales. With more than four decades of experience in the commercial tire sector, Roe will supervise both replacement and original equipment sales teams. His extensive expertise encompasses domestic and global sales strategies, which he gained from previous leadership roles at Hankook and other major tire companies, including American Omni Trading Company and Ralson Tire North America.
Rob Williams, the President of Hankook Tire America Corp., emphasized the significance of these appointments, stating, "These leadership appointments reflect Hankook's strong momentum in North America. Ken, K.C., and Mark each bring exceptional industry experience, strategic focus, and leadership qualities to their roles. Together, they will help elevate our presence across both consumer and commercial channels, and support our long-term growth ambitions in the U.S."
The company has also advanced other key individuals in its regional sales teams. Shaun Prott has been promoted from Key Account Manager to Regional Director of PC/LT Sales for the Western region. Prott joined Hankook in 2015 and has a strong record of driving business opportunities and managing nationwide accounts. His leadership will further enhance the company's outreach in the Western market.
Meanwhile, Travis Jones rejoins Hankook as Regional Director of PC/LT Sales for the North-East. His previous roles with Michelin and Pirelli contribute to his deep understanding of the tire industry and market dynamics, which will be beneficial for Hankook’s initiatives in that region.
Brian Ford has been elevated from Key Account Manager to Regional Director of TBR Sales for the West. Since his start with the company in 2021, Ford has brought valuable insights and experience to the table, helping the firm secure larger commercial accounts.
Rob Williams added, "These moves demonstrate the strength of our internal talent pipeline and our continued investment in building customer relationships. Each of these leaders possesses extensive market knowledge and a proven history of fostering key partnerships."
