Indonesia to Showcase Luxury Tourism at ILTM Cannes 2025

The Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia (MoT) is poised to elevate its presence in the global luxury travel sector by participating in the prestigious International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) in Cannes, France. Scheduled from December 1 to 4, 2025, this influential event is expected to gather over 2,200 luxury travel buyers from around the world, along with top-tier media representatives.

This high-profile event will serve as a platform for Indonesia to not only boost its international visibility but also to forge strategic partnerships with key players in the luxury travel market. The nation aims to solidify its status as a sought-after destination for affluent travelers, capitalizing on recent successes that have positioned Indonesia as a leading player in global luxury tourism.

In the lead-up to ILTM, Indonesia has gained significant recognition within the luxury sector. Notably, 33 Indonesian hotels have received the Michelin Keys 2025, affirming their quality and service standards. Additionally, various hotels, restaurants, and bars in Indonesia have been featured in the Tatler Best Awards 2025, marking them as among the finest establishments in the Asia Pacific region. These accolades signal Indonesia's readiness to be embraced as a world-class destination where luxury accommodation and fine dining converge.

At ILTM Cannes 2025, the MoT has arranged over 100 scheduled business meetings with international decision-makers in luxury travel. Indonesia will showcase a selection of premium offerings, which include: marine destinations, wellness retreats, high-end gastronomy experiences, luxury yachts, personalized journeys, and bespoke tourism services. This year, the MoT is joining forces with three key Indonesian luxury brands: Celestia, specializing in yachts; Samabe Bali Suites and Villas; and One Eleven Resorts Bali, both providing refined accommodation options.

The overarching theme of Indonesia’s participation at ILTM is encapsulated in the global branding campaign, “Go Beyond Ordinary.” Ni Made Ayu Marthini, the Deputy Minister for Marketing, highlights that this concept is designed to position Indonesia not only as a locale brimming with spectacular natural beauty but also as a destination rich in culinary delights, cultural warmth, and peaceful landscapes, offering an emotional journey for visitors.

The participation in ILTM Cannes 2025 aligns with Indonesia’s broader strategy to establish itself as a premium destination that provides unique, authentic, and enriching travel experiences for discerning travelers from around the world. Deputy Minister Marthini emphasizes that ILTM stands as a crucial platform for Indonesia to directly present its premium products to the most influential luxury travel partners globally. This participation is a vital step in enhancing Indonesia’s competitiveness in the luxury travel segment while reinforcing its commitment to sustainable growth in high-quality tourism.

As Indonesia prepares for this significant event, the focus remains firmly on showcasing the country’s diverse luxury tourism offerings. Attention is drawn to the harmonious blend of natural beauty, cultural depth, and sophisticated hospitality that awaits affluent travelers who choose Indonesia as their next luxury getaway. Engage with the allure of Indonesia, and experience a journey that promises to be both extraordinary and transformative, surpassing the ordinary.
