Visual Comfort & Co. and Richard June: A New Era of Design

Visual Comfort & Co., a leader in high-end home lighting solutions, has officially announced a new partnership with renowned lighting and furniture designer Richard June. Known for his innovative and refined approach to design, June hails from the lush landscapes of Portland, Oregon, where his work is influenced by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

The upcoming Dallas Market, scheduled from June 23 to 27, 2026, will serve as the launch pad for June's debut lighting line under the Visual Comfort umbrella. This collection features 35 distinctive designs that include ceiling fixtures, wall sconces, table lamps, and outdoor lighting, each piece reflecting a commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

Sean Lavin, Chief Design Officer of Visual Comfort & Co., expressed excitement about this new collaboration. He stated, _“Richard’s design approach fills an opportunity within our assortment and broadens the range of products we offer our customers. His background as a furniture maker brings a deep understanding of materials, craftsmanship, and proportion to his work.”_

The Liora Collection

At the core of this new collection is the Liora, a unique mix-and-match system that allows flexibility in lighting design. The collection emphasizes utility and refinement, showcasing familiar forms reimagined through careful proportions and subtle details. Features include raw ceramic stoneware shades that come in various earthy tones, paired with a refined Y-connection detail and matte opal glass diffusers that create a cohesive and inviting design.

Richard June elaborated on his vision for the Liora collection, stating, _“This collection is about taking familiar forms and refining them into something that feels both grounded and elevated, timeless yet deeply human. I’ve always been drawn to pieces that quietly feel at home in a space—fixtures that seem like they’ve always been there.”_

Craftsmanship and Inspiration

Each piece in the Liora collection reflects June's signature warmth and refined construction, with designs inspired by the natural landscape of his home region. From rich wood-grain flush mounts to outdoor lanterns built for coastal durability, every fixture in the collection is a thoughtful balance of character and purpose.

In addition to the exciting product showcase, Visual Comfort will host a Meet the Designer event with Richard June during the Dallas Market. The first 100 attendees will receive a complimentary ceramic mug inspired by the collection's unique material palette, adding an engaging element to the market experience.
