Texas Roadhouse, Bubba's 33, and Jaggers Raise $1.1 Million for Tinnitus Research
Transforming Tinnitus Care: A Remarkable Fundraising Success
On February 2, 2026, a remarkable event unfolded as Texas Roadhouse, Bubba's 33, and Jaggers restaurants combined efforts to raise an astounding $1.1 million for the American Tinnitus Association (ATA). This fifth annual dine-to-donate fundraiser saw 100% of the profits from dine-in and to-go orders donated to the cause, surpassing last year's impressive total of $980,000. This year’s record-breaking achievement further solidified the event's status as the most successful of its kind to date.
The fundraising event was not only a financial success but also served to honor the legacy of Kent Taylor, the founder of Texas Roadhouse, who battled severe tinnitus throughout his life. This effort launched Tinnitus Awareness Week 2026, emphasizing the importance of awareness and support for the condition that affects more than 50 million Americans.
Jerry Morgan, CEO of Texas Roadhouse, expressed gratitude toward the restaurant staff and patrons for their commitment to raising awareness and funds for tinnitus. "Knowing that more than 50 million adults in the U.S. live with this condition, we are proud that these efforts will make a meaningful impact. This is a powerful tribute to our founder, Kent Taylor, whose legacy of helping others continues to guide our purpose," he stated.
The funds raised will significantly impact the ATA’s mission, which is focused on improving tinnitus care. This includes the expansion of the Innovative Tinnitus Research Grants Program and enhancement of patient support services. The ATA also plans to initiate educational endeavors for healthcare professionals, aiming to establish a consistent, evidence-based care framework for patients suffering from tinnitus. Given the complexities of this chronic condition, many patients lack access to informed specialists, which limits their opportunities for effective care.
Patrick A. Lynch, CEO of the American Tinnitus Association, praised the growing partnership with Texas Roadhouse. Since 2021, their collaboration has amassed an extraordinary $4.7 million in support of ATA's initiatives. Lynch highlighted the critical nature of this partnership, as tinnitus is more than a statistic; it represents a deeply personal struggle for many. Funds from Texas Roadhouse contribute immensely to furthering research, enhancing patient education, and providing assurance to those affected that they are not alone in their battle.
Tinnitus, characterized by phantom sounds such as ringing or buzzing in the ears, affects individuals from various demographics. A significant number—up to 20%—find tinnitus to be disruptive in their daily lives. Unfortunately, there is currently no widely accepted cure for the condition, and a standardized care approach is still developing. ATA’s continued research funding and support programs aim to bridge the gaps in understanding and treatment options.
To continue supporting this important cause, Texas Roadhouse, Bubba's 33, and Jaggers are pledging to donate 10% of online sales of ATA-branded gift cards through March 31, 2026. These gift cards can be easily purchased from their respective websites.
Individuals seeking assistance regarding tinnitus or information on qualified healthcare providers are encouraged to reach out to the ATA. Donations to further support the ATA’s mission can also be made directly through their website or via check.
