This seminar, hosted by Nagase Co., Ltd., the operator of Tohshin High School and Tohshin Satellite Prep School, will feature Shinji Abe, a prominent cybersecurity expert, as the keynote speaker.
About the Seminar
The seminar aims to help students discover new career opportunities in the digital age, focusing on the critical field of cyber defense. As part of the
29th installment of the series "Consider Your Future," it will present insights into how to protect Japan from cyber threats. The event will include a lecture followed by a Q&A session, all conducted via Zoom in real-time.
Shinji Abe, who has extensive experience in cybersecurity, will share his journey and explain the significance of protecting nations and companies from cyber attacks. This event is designed to motivate students using practical examples and real-world scenarios, addressing pressing questions like: "What do I want to be in the future?" and "Why should I study?"
Who Should Attend?
This free seminar is open to all high school students (1st to 3rd year) and their parents, including those not enrolled in Tohshin. We highly encourage attendance from those who might feel unsure or anxious about their future plans.
Speaker Profile: Shinji Abe
- - Background: Graduate of Hokkaido University, Shinji began his career in 2007 at NTT Communications before transitioning into the world of cybersecurity. Since 2022, he has established a Security Operation Center (SOC) to safeguard Japanese organizations from cyber threats.
- - Achievements: Abe has been involved with the International Telecommunications Union (ITU-T) as well as various other organizations to enhance the security landscape in Japan and globally. He continues to lead efforts in developing systems and services dedicated to preventing cyber attacks through his role with GMO Cybersecurity.
