Corinex Appoints George Reznik as COO, Driving BPL Technology Expansion

Corinex Welcomes George Reznik as New Chief Operating Officer

In a bold move to enhance its global presence, Corinex, a leader in Broadband-over-Power-Line (BPL) technology, has announced the appointment of George Reznik as Chief Operating Officer. This strategic addition comes at a pivotal time for the company, which is focusing on the modernization of electricity networks around the world.

Reznik, an accomplished executive with over 30 years of experience across the technology sector, is recognized for his proven track record in driving revenue growth, improving operational efficiency, and expanding market share. His extensive background includes executive roles in various high-growth technology companies, such as Light AI, Tantalus Systems, Intrinsyc Technologies, and Infowave Software. His expertise in financial strategy and operations aligns perfectly with Corinex’s ambitions to transform the energy industry.

As the new COO, Reznik will play an integral role in advancing Corinex’s mission to drive innovation in energy infrastructure. The company’s aim is to turn conventional power line systems into robust communication networks, which not only support grid modernization but also foster the integration of low-carbon technologies like solar energy and electric vehicles. This transformation presents utilities with a solution to increase grid hosting capacity without the need for significant infrastructure overhaul.

Peter Sobotka, the CEO of Corinex, expressed enthusiasm regarding Reznik’s joining. He noted, “George brings a wealth of knowledge in operations, technology, finance, and business strategy. His vision for intelligent, connected energy infrastructure is crucial for our next growth phase.” Sobotka emphasized the critical nature of Reznik’s expertise in the Internet of Things (IoT) and clean technology sector, which will enhance Corinex's ability to navigate the complexities of the modern energy landscape.

Reznik’s impressive credentials include serving as the Corporate Finance Valuation leader at Deloitte, where he was instrumental in guiding numerous organizations through significant transitions. He has held influential roles as Vice President of Finance at Pivotal, where he scaled the company’s revenue from $10 million to $140 million within three years, and later as COO and CFO at Infowave Software, which underwent a strategic acquisition by Lantronix.

In addition to his professional accolades, Reznik is a distinguished leader recognized for operational excellence, having earned various certifications, including Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Business Valuator, and Certified Fraud Examiner. He has also been honored with the BC Public Company CFO of the Year award and chairs the BC Hi-Tech CFO C-Council, underscoring his leadership within the financial sector.

“I am thrilled to join Corinex at such a critical juncture,” Reznik remarked. “Our initiative to decarbonize energy through enhanced infrastructure plays an essential role in fostering a sustainable future for our planet. The electrification movement necessitates optimizing grid capacities, and I believe Corinex is perfectly positioned to lead this change in the BPL space.”

Corinex’s BPL technology is particularly vital as energy networks worldwide are facing increasing challenges due to the swift adoption of low-carbon technologies. These challenges require innovative, cost-effective solutions that can be deployed rapidly to modernize grids. By converting traditional power lines into intelligent communication networks, Corinex provides utilities an alternative pathway to accomplish their modernization goals.

As George Reznik steps into his new role at Corinex, the company looks poised not only for growth but also to position itself as a key player within the global energy transformation narrative—aligning technological advancement with the urgent need for sustainability.
