Amazing Thailand to Celebrate Chinese New Year 2026
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has unveiled plans for the Amazing Thailand Chinese New Year 2026, coinciding with the 51st anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China. This exciting event will significantly enhance Thailand's appeal as a prime destination to celebrate the Chinese New Year, particularly outside of mainland China.
Celebrations Across Major Cities
Flagship events will take place in two major hubs: Bangkok and Hat Yai, creating unique experiences that highlight the cultural ties shared between Thailand and China. Additionally, there will be events in Nakhon Sawan and Suphan Buri, extending the celebration nationwide.
Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, expressed that this event marks a celebration not only of tradition but also of the robust cooperation established over the past decades between Thai and Chinese tourism authorities. The festival aims to foster cultural exchanges and enhance shared heritage, which are pivotal to tourism growth.
Bangkok’s Grand Festivities
From February 7 to March 1, Yaowarat Road in Bangkok will be adorned with spectacular light displays under the theme
