Beats x Verdy Collaboration

The renowned audio brand, Beats, is back with a fresh collaboration featuring Japanese graphic artist Verdy. This time, they unveil the "Beats x Verdy – Vear Beats Pill Holder," which will be available at Dover Street Market London. This limited-edition holder has been designed for the iconic Beats Pill speaker, and it will also see a release in Japan later this year.

Unique Design

During the design process, Verdy introduced a reimagined version of the Beats Pill character, known as Beats Vear. This quirky and playful character features a creamy color palette and is designed to suggest that it is about to devour the Beats Pill whole, showcasing Verdy's distinctive artistic touch. The collectible art figure promises to catch the eyes of fans and collectors alike, as it reflects Verdy's signature playful style.

The Beats Pill itself boasts impressive features, including a maximum battery life of 24 hours and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. Its powerful sound fills any space, making it perfect for music lovers on the go.

Collaborating Artists

In conjunction with this new release, Verdy has teamed up with Japanese rapper Young Coco, who is under the label Verdy SOUNDS, to produce an original song for this collaboration. The synergy between Beats' powerful audio technology and Verdy's artistic vision combines to create a unique cultural product that resonates with fans.

Verdy expressed his excitement about the project, stating, "I remember seeing the original Beats character and thinking how cool it was. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to create my own version now."

Previous Collaborations

This isn’t the first collaboration between Beats and Verdy. Earlier in 2023, they launched a limited-edition Beats Flex earphones in partnership with Verdy’s notable project, “Girls Don’t Cry.” Additionally, they announced a Pill holder to accompany the Beats Vear character, slated for release in August 2024.

Availability

Starting August 21, customers can obtain the "Beats x Verdy – Vear Beats Pill Holder" in a limited set with the Beats Pill, exclusively at Dover Street Market London during the ongoing "Verdy’s Gift Shop" event. Following that, the collaboration will roll out in the United States, China, and Japan before the end of the year.
